    Rob,

Stoked that you are going to continue the podcasts. Even if they take a new form. Not sure if you’ve had a chance to see much of Nick Chubb this year but I was wondering your thoughts on his recovery.

I just watched his DBD clips this year and I’m trying to see sort of what I saw in him two years ago but right now he has kind of a Robert Turbin-esque vibe. Though in replays he has great vision the burst I saw when he spelled Gurley seems gone for now.

I’m kind of projecting right now Seattle taking a RB in the third. Love Carson but moving forward Seattle really needs to continue to drop capital into the position. Obviously, I love Saquon’s game but Seattle won’t be anywhere near him come the draft so it’s hard for me to even pay too much attention to players like that.

    Anyways sir keep it up.

    • AlaskaHawk

My prediction is Left tackle in the first round and running back in the second round. The defense is loaded with players, some of whom aren’t even playing yet due to injuries. So first two rounds offense. Or three rounds if you want to throw a receiver in the mix.

      • Rowlandice

I think the OL may get some more draft capital, but only if a super OT drops into their range in the first or early second round after the usual trade down. I believe they go after defensive line again. Bennett and Avril must be replaced soon and resigning Richardson or contribution from McDowell is not a given. If they have a shot at DT or EDGE, they may have to go there.

        • East Side Stevie

Im getting strong indication its going to be DE or LB after the trade down in R1

Go after OL in Free Agency plus resign Joekel (likely)

  2. icb12

    Totally unrelated to anything..

I’m a big Luke Kuechly fan…but he needs to hang up the cleats. He’s going to end up a vegetable.
At some point he has to think about more than football.

    • All I see is 12's

      Agreed

      • Hawk Eye

great player, but either unlucky or he is prone to concussions. Either way, he needs to seriously consider retiring. Avril is in the same boat with the neck issues. I am pretty sure Avril would retire if the doctors told me he was at risk. Hate to see the game lose either player, but would hate to see either player have future problems that can be avoided.

        • Hawk Eye

told HIM he was at risk

          (need an edit button)

  3. East Side Stevie

THANK GOD AND THANK YOU ROB

  4. AlaskaHawk

Funny that former Patriots and now the Eagles running back Blount could have been had for 1.25 million. Seahawks could have used a solid performer in that area.

    • East Side Stevie

You know I thought about that myself. Lets rewind the clocks’ back into Free Agency:

I knew Jamaal Charles didn’t have much left in the tank plus his injury history was concerning

Then there’s Lativius Murray not near the accomplished Resume* as Jamaal, AP, Lacy but could save you money

If I recall seattle didn’t show much interest in LGB and ultimately went with Lacy banking on he could return to his ’13’14 production

AP was clearly a shell of himself and I don’t know why people were skeptical about LGB he was coming off a fantastic season. I really wish Seattle would have shown more interest in him.

      • East Side Stevie

Maybe its because Lacy is younger but LGB looks much better than Lacy 5 games into this Season

    • icb12

Tough to see Alex Collins get cut and then lead the league in yards per carry.

    • Smitty1547

Better and cheaper and being a former duck familiar with the Pacific NW

      • Rob Staton

And Blount’s also playing behind one of the top performing O-lines within an offense that is functioning very nicely.

It’s also worth noting that teams weren’t rushing to sign Blount when he was available. It wasn’t just Seattle.

So while it’s easy to compare — and Blount may have been the better option — Seattle has issues that likely would prevent a 30-year-old 250lbs back from succeeding. Carson succeeded because of his one-cut ability suiting the style/situation of the offense. But overall the Seahawks needs to address issues on the offense before we can expect to see even an average running game.

        • nichansen01

Seattle is clueless with actually corrdinating a run game, regardless of personnel.

          • Kenny Sloth

Oof. Tell that to Marshawn Lynch

            • East Side Stevie

Thanks for that input Rob… I realize that now after reading your response. Why I love this blog you can interact with us and give us your knowledge! Tip of the cap.

          • Rob Staton

Yes nichansen01 the team that led the league in rushing for years doesn’t know how to coordinate a run game.

            Zzzzzz

    • Ukhawk

I’d say the rushing attack problems are 80% OL & 20% RB.

      • East Side Stevie

Why not hold Tom Cable and or Darrel bevell? As much as I ate to say it At some point the head coach must be held accountable. Petes not off the hook here. Theres no right or wrong person to blame and it doesn’t rest on one person alones shoulders. Im not sure percentages is a way to justify it either.

  5. nichansen01

    Dexter Lawrence is insane

  6. nichansen01

Clemson’s D-line is just insane all around. Better than alabama’s last year.

  7. nichansen01

Eric Dungey is a gritty player. Wow. (Syracuse QB)

  8. nichansen01

    Kelly Bryant out cold

  9. House

I keep seeing stuff saying Branden Albert never left Seattle to go to the Giants. Has anyone got any word on him?

    • C-Dog

They could be waiting to see how far off Joekel’s recovery will be to see if they need another vet. They could have a deal in place but are weighing other potential acquisitions. They might be looking to move a player to fit Albert under the cap.

    • CharlieTheUnicorn

If you had a choice as a FA, would you play for Seattle or the dumpsterfire Giants? Thought so. 😉

  10. C-Dog

Freaky Friday is on. Cal’s defense is destroying the Cougar offense, and Luke Falk clearly not looking like a first round pick tonight.

    • Volume12

      He’s never been a 1st round pick.

      • East Side Stevie

        +1 V 12

      • vrtkolman

I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires after one season in the NFL. He’s taken a massive beating throughout his college career. Part of the problem is holding onto the ball way too long.

        • C-Dog

Really tough for those air raid quarterbacks to transition to the NLF. Leach practically blows through them in college. That’s a ridiculous amount to throws to make and times to get hit. I can see him getting picked up by a team and working his way into a starting role, but if I’m a team that’s looking to draft a franchise QB in round on with the expectation that he’s a day one starter, I’m hanging a lot on the line taking Falk R1. Just don’t see it.

  11. CharlieTheUnicorn

Rob, whenever a team totally underperforms and / or under delivers. Feel free to use the term “cougin it”. The WSU / CAL game today shows you what dictionary term for the PCNW saying.

    • DC

Wassu & Clemson on the same night. Yeesh. Good wake up call for anyone else not to relax. Tempe has never been an easy place for UW to play.

    • sdcoug

and look who Huskied It tonight. So sad. Bahaha

  12. DC

If Shead is coming back healthy then I gotta believe Lane is on the trading block again for at least a bag of Tim’s Cascade Jalepeño chips. Party size…

    • East Side Stevie

Why would you trade away a player who can play on the inside and the outside and start in a pinch? You dont know if he’s on the trading block? The coaches & front office clearly like him hence him re signing this off-season. Why trade viable depth? What if Sherm Tears his ACL or if Shaquil tears his ACL then what?

    • Trevor

I certainly hope not Shead is a quality starting CB and great insurance if they don’t plan to re-sign Sherm to a monster deal. I hope he comes back healthy and they extend Shead.

I could see Shead and Griffin as our starting CB after next year.

    • cha

Lane has a cap hit of $2.5m this year if he’s cut. Not sure what it is if he’s traded but it would actually cost the Hawks $ to unload him this year.

  13. Aaron

That WSU/Cal game was a total disaster for WSU. Gotta think UW is the class of the Pac-12 with USC a close second. It’s them and everyone else. UW is no. 11 offense and no. 3 defense in College football pet ESPN… that’s amazing!!!

    • Aaron

      *per

    • sdcoug

And your “class of the pac-12” just Huskied It.

  14. Volume12

Games like last night from QB Luke Falk are the ones that stick in scouts mind when it comes to pull the trigger on a guy in a war room. Man does that dude throw some wet farts. If he has no pocket awareness now, how would he ever survive behind NFL O-lines like Seattle’s, Giants, or Cincy’s?

  15. Volume12

Looking forward to this Red River rivalry game.

Can Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield make a play when the the defense doesn’t break down? He always, alwsys pulls the ball down and waits for defensive lapses. Won’t cut it at the next level kid.

  16. Volume12

    Seahawks scouting Navy/Memphis.

Memphis WR Anthony Miller and QB Riley Ferguson.

    • East Side Stevie

Nobody on the Navy side that you can think of?

      • Volume12

Haven’t watched a lick of Navy. Didn’t even know they were ranked until today.

      • Volume12

I do know, for what I’ve accounted for anyways, that Seattle has scouted ‘Bama, Stanford, and USC the most so far this season.

Starting to think they got their eyes on USC DL Rasheem Green. 6’4, 275, inner city LA kid, incredibly disruptive/productive. Looks like a Seahawk.

        • C-Dog

Raheem Green for USC, and Quenton Meeks from Stanford both scream Seattle Seahawks to me.

          • Volume12

Green was also a 5 star recruit. From the same HS that Marquise Lee and Robert Woods went too and Miami (with Clint Hurt) wanted him as well.

            • C-Dog

He’s consistently been one of my favorite Trojans to watch, along side Ronald Jones III. I don’t have a great feeling on Malik McDowell’s injury situation. Green could be one to watch.

              • Volume12

Been the best player on the field for USC the last 2 weeks.

                • Volume12

2nd in the country for productivity from the interior according to PFF.

                  • C-Dog

                    Boom.

Damien Harris a strong candidate to be a Seattle target?

                  • Volume12

                    Absolutely.

                  • Volume12

Doesn’t have any stand out trait, but more importantly, has zero flaws.

Reminds me of a mixture of Emmitt Smith and Mark Ingram.

                  • C-Dog

Vision and low center seem to be really appealing to me considering what Seattle has been dealing with at RB and what is required for ZBS. Plus I like this kid’s maturity. Just seems to tick a lot of boxes.

                  • Volume12

Yup. Sneaky athleticism too. Presses the LOS like an NFL vet.

        • TheDarnold

Could they also be interested in Uchenna Nwosu of USC? Him and Rasheem have been very disruptive rushing the passer.

          • Volume12

Possibly. Wouldn’t surprise me. Might be the best coverage LB not named Fred Warner (BYU).

He’s intriguing for sure. Those coverage skills are gonna really appeal to teams because he’s not a liability in the passing game.

            • TheDarnold

A good pass rusher that can cover definitely sounds very intriguing.

      • Volume12

Another guy I think they’ll like:

NC St. HB/FB/TE/slot WR/H-back Jaylen Samuels. Kid can do it all. He’s a mix of Ty Montgomery, Marcel Reece, and Charles Clay. So good after the catch. Just draft him and use him everywhere.

        • East Side Stevie

What about an Iowa offensive linemen or a OK State skill position player? Hell I wouldnt complain at all for Mason Rudolph if he’s there in the 3rd.

          • Volume12

I really liked Iowa OT Ike Boettger coming into this season, but he’s out for the year.

Maybe OK St WR’s James Washington or Marcell Ateman, but Washington is probably a late 1st-early 2nd rounder, and I can’t see Seattle spending that high of a pick on a receiver this year.

  17. John_s

Check out the stiff arm by John Kelly but also his balance.

  18. Volume12

Auburn HB Kerryon Johnson (5’11-6’0, 212-215) is very interesting. He’s a workhorse man.

660 yds rushing and 13 TDs ain’t nothing to scoff at in the SEC.

    • Volume12

All this on a bad hammy too.

Kerryon Johnson vs Ole Miss (2017):
      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P_qdhJYIW9A

      • Volume12

He also just had the greatest post game quote of all time.

‘They don’t pay me enough to talk about play calling.’

  19. Volume12

Really like ‘Bama CB Levi Wallace.

It’s so rare for a walk on to earn a starting role at that school. Ran a 4.6 though at their pro day this spring. If he can get that down to a 4.54 watch out.

  20. red

Sony Michel 8 carries 70 yards and a TD everybody watching Chubb but I like Michel in that 60-90 pick range.

  21. DC

Utah RB Zack Moss looks real good vs USC. He’s listed at 208lb so a little light for the Hawk profile but dang, impressive running so far.

  22. CharlieTheUnicorn

    RB Saquon Barkley

There was a piece on ESPN about him being a top 5 pick in 2018 draft….. and Heisman Trophy finalist

what is the collectives opinion on him?

    • Ishmael

He’s a freak. Like… He’s better than Gurley, Elliot, and Fournette. As well-rounded as Elliot, with the smoothness of Gurley. Maybe a little bit like Rawls actually, only faster, more explosive, and better at everything.

      • Kenny Sloth

        Ditto on the Rawls comp.

A very wealthy man’s 5star blue chip Thomas Rawls

    • C-Dog

Stud. Should go top 5. Just hope the 49ers don’t get him.

  23. Ehurd1021

So apparently the 49ers are in FULL tank mode and willing to trade anyone on their roster… including Hyde and Thomas for the right price.

So, I gotta do it. If you’re Seattle are you willing to give up a 3rd or 4th round pick for Thomas?

    • Kenny Sloth

      I mean. Yes?

But how is that the right price?

    • cha

Solomon Thomas? The #3 overall pick a few months ago?

You don’t get rid of your top young players to tank, unless he’s got some seriously outstanding character flaw or a degenerative injury. You get rid of expensive veterans like they did with Bowman.

    • Ehurd1021

I meant Stayley… not Thomas, my bad fellas lol.

      • red

I like staley contract going forward after this year his cap hit 7.7m for 2018 and 7.7 for 2019.

        2018

        Staley 7.7 mil

        Jockel 8 mil

        L.Wilson 3mil

extend Clark and Tyler to extensions 8 mil first year cap hit

        M Smith 5 mil

        extend coleman 4 mil

hunt for a FA DT 3 mil

Avril leaves and so does lane free up 12 mil up cap space bringing us to 43mil -38.7 mil from above

Draft RB DE WR OLB early

Don’t want to extend a Brown or FA Solder for 12-14 mil a year when I can have staley for 2 years of 15.4 mil

  24. Kenny Sloth

It’s just funny to hear a brit talk about routes 😉

  25. Kenny Sloth

Everyone wanna pat Wazu on the back for beating my second string QB

UW gonna smash U of O in front of Rob n everything though.

    No bragging rights this year.
How about that New coach at Oregon

His coaches party too much and that school looms ripe for some red flags but man if they ain’t motivated

    • Rowdy

UW is getting out played and out coached on every level right now

      • Rowdy

        Completely out coached!

        • vrtkolman

Without Trey Adams they are sunk IMO. Horrible injury.

    • Volume12

Stanford HB Bryce Lobe just gashed that D. Only took him 4 minute to get over 100 yds.

He’s right on the heels of Barkley for the Heisman.

      Love is an incredible talent.

  26. vrtkolman

Jake Browning is kind of a spazz on 3rd downs, so many unnecessary sacks taken.

    • C-Dog

He’s not built to rally from behind, IMO. Just not a dynamic enough player. I think the Huskies are going to lose this game.

      • vrtkolman

Are you kidding me on thst second field goal attempt? This is Chris Peterson’s worst coached game ever.

        • C-Dog

The second one was a chip shot. If you can’t trust your kicker there, why even have a kicker on the roster? Not Coach’s fault with his QB ineffective in the red zone.

          • vrtkolman

I feel like they were setting up a 4th and short by running on 3rd and 4, before settling for the field goal. Just a weird decision IMO, with the kicking game issues they have. UW has all sorts of problems on offense.

            • C-Dog

Honestly, I was fearing a game like this was coming around the corner. Browning has been hit and miss all season, and I just don’t see a QB in him that can shoulder the burden. I just don’t see an offense geared to play from behind. They lack explosiveness. ASU’s defense totally had their number. Game on in the PAC 12

              • Volume12

They don’t have any pass rushers. Not the same team as last year.

There’s 1 team that’s head and shoulders above the rest and that’s ‘Bama. Everyone is is just playing catch up.

                • C-Dog

‘Bama is a machine, for sure.

  27. sdcoug

    Huskied It. Hahahaha

    • C-Dog

      Go Hawks!

  28. C-Dog

Per Jason La Canfora, the Seattle Seahawks have been actively seeking OT help via trade for weeks now, and talks with the Texans for Duane Brown could intensify, or alternatively, a smaller scale deal could be done if they don’t get something for a bigger name. They were also in discussions with the Bills for Cordy Glenn.

Interesting on a couple fronts. La Canfora seems to have good insider news on the Hawks. The Hawks are clearly open (possibly prefer) to landing a big name proven vet.

    • Ehurd1021

      Wow.

I wonder what’s the price tag the Texans are asking looking for.

    • Volume12

Thank god they know this and ain’t trying to sweep it under the rug or blow smoke up all our a**es as usual.

Gotta grab a couple O-lineman in the draft too.

      • C-Dog

        Yes please!

      • mishima

After all is said and done (draft capital, development, FAs), the OL will prob be no better or less expensive than if they had kept Sweezy and Okung. Thinking Cable gets fired, after the season.

    • cha

What does this mean for Tobin & Battle then? Do they just consider them developmental project type guys and not ready to play meaningful snaps?

      • C-Dog

Battle was only dealt for a conditional pick. So they could cut him and not owe the Chiefs anything. Tobin probably seen as a swing player.

  29. nichansen01

What happened to my huskies!!! Without Trey Adams and Jordan Miller, this could be a long season. Jake Browning has regressed it seems, he holds onto the ball for too long!

I don’t think Bryce Love is far behind Barkley at all.

Today, and today only, I’m a jets fan!!

    Go hawks

  30. Ehurd1021

Apparently, the Texans are seeking 1st round compensation for Brown? And apparently, the Seahawks are interested and in talks with the Texans.

I’m not comfortable with us giving up a 1st round pick for a 32-year-old LT. I know he’s still a very good player but if that is the compensation that the Texans are looking for then the price is WAY too steep in my honest opinion.

If you’re willing to give up a 1st round for an LT then why not just go get Joe Thomas who you KNOW is still playing at a high level.

    • Volume12

This is a top heavy draft. The depth is awful this year. So it makes sense that Seattle would want a premier talent. Wouldn’t be surprised if they try and trade up in this draft either.

If they trade a 1st for a player, don’t be shocked when they swap a big name to get back that 2nd.

      • Ehurd1021

        Interesting.

Any idea which big name it could be?

        • Volume12

None. I can’t see them potentially trading a 1st and not drafting until the 3rd. Especially in a draft that has a big drop off in round 4.

    • C-Dog

Alternatively, it’s been rumored the Texans would take Jimmy Graham for Brown straight across.

      • Ehurd1021

How do the Seahawks NOT do that trade? Graham is leaving next year anyways lol.

        • C-Dog

I’m not sure the team is as down on Graham as many fans are. Although it was interesting against the Rams is was almost solely flexed out like Wr, almost like they have given up on him blocking.

        • Ishmael

Because Graham is constantly eating double and triple teams. It will fundamentally change how defences play against the Hawks, and not for the better. Who even knows what sort of condition Brown is in, it’s never as simple as we’d like it to be.

          • Ehurd1021

Well, Graham occupying double teams hasn’t resulted in offensive production. Wilson doesn’t have the time or pocket to find him or throw him the ball lol. It seems counter-productive to have an offensive talent you can’t use because your offensive can’t move the ball. It also seems counter-productive for a team that wants to establish the run as their identity to not has an offensive line capable of run blocking either.

Nothing here seems too complexed. It also doesn’t make sense for us to be paying Graham close to 6 million a year for his production and numbers since he’s arrived in Seattle. I hope trading Graham for a veteran LT would fundamentally change the way defenses play us, we might actually score touchdowns, keep our QB upright, and have the ability to sustain drives. Just me tho.

            • C-Dog

I keep thinking back to that crazy 2015 production Wilson was having when Graham and Lynch were both done. I think you bring up a fair point, loosing Graham but gaining a competent LT probably balances each other out, and it probably helps the run game which is what I think Carroll probably wants to get back towards.

              • Ehurd1021

Absolutely. PC talked for 8 months about wanting to get back to Seattle’s identity that brought them to back to back super bowls – which is obviously a smash mouth run game as we all know.

I honestly just don’t understand the logic of having an offensive weapon/skill position player you can’t use/throw the ball because you don’t have the ability to block more than 2 seconds post-snap. I think PC knows this and is the main reason why they’ve been engaged in talks looking for a veteran LT.

                • C-Dog

                  +1

  31. Volume12

Remember when the naysayers on this blog said WR Jermaine Kearse was no good and sucked butt?

    • Volume12

How does CB Mo Claiborne still have a job?

      • Volume12

Love Jamal Adams, but Marcus Maye is not paying off. They’re both strong safeties and I see the same problems with Maye he had in college. He gets caught flat-footed over and over and over.

    • Thy Hawk is Howling

As you know not me Vol, I Love Jermaine and it always bewildered me how so many people would talk shite about him. Great guy, team player, all Hustle, and a local boy to boot! Don’t know what you got till it’s gone huh Kearse smack talkers?

      Hope he comes back soon!

      Go Hawks!

  32. Volume12

Twitter is saying that hit on Rodgers by Anthony Barr was dirty? GTFOH with that trash take.

I don’t wish injuries on any player but if there’s one where I go ‘ehh’ it’s Rodgers.

    • vrtkolman

Did you see Rodgers talking trash right after that play? He whines way too much for my tastes.

    • Kenny Sloth

I’ve never seen a less hungry supposed GOAT

Tom Brady would eat a tin can before he broke his collar bone🐐

    • Ishmael

It was late. Not a really grubby hit, but it definitely had a bit of dirt on it. You know Barr is getting ejected if he did that to Brady.

  33. Volume12

QB Aaron Rodgers with a broken collarbone!

    • Hawk Eye

out for the year. GB has no Super Bowl hope this year.
as always, injuries will determine who gets to the big dance

    • C-Dog

      Kap to the Pack?

      • Kenny Sloth

        I think it would work.

He probably wants a short deal with a contender and is the best on the market. Not like they have viable options in their system

        • C-Dog

Could be a great opportunity for him to get with McCarthy and work his way into a starter gig else where in 2018 if he plays well enough.

          • Kenny Sloth

McCarthy says Hundley is his QB

            • C-Dog

              Well, there it is.

  34. vrtkolman

Here is my hot take – if Seattle goes undefeated at home they are the 1 seed. With Rodgers out and Atlanta looking very average, Seattle is in prime position with that road game win over LA last week. We get the Eagles, Skins, and Falcons at home, which is just huge.

    • Hawk Eye

and the Falcons lost to Miami at home
      Pats barely beat the Jets

      interesting season

    • C-Dog

      Could happen.

    • Volume12

3 best teams in the NFC?

      1. Philly
      2. Seattle
      3. Carolina

      • Kenny Sloth

I like the Washington team for a wild card

NFC North is wide open. The Lions might actually win it!!!!!

        You’re probably looking at

        1. Seattle

        2. Philly

        3. Carolina

        4. Minnesota

        5. Atlanta

        6. Washington

With Detroit, LA, New Orleans missing out

        • Volume12

I like that. Could see LA getting one of those wildcards as well, but I agree with your rankings. As of now, I’d have Philly at 1.

  35. Kenny Sloth

Wow terrible call against the Jets

Pylon is God. He touched pylon with the ball

Did he regain possession? Debatable. How the hell do you make a football move there?

    • cha

Agree. ASF had a TD there.

Please NFL. We still don’t know what a catch is. Let’s not start trying to figure out what a fumble is.

  36. Kenny Sloth

This KC-Pitt game will help decide the AFC playoffs.

  37. C-Dog

With Aaron Rodgers done, and the NFC seemingly more up for grabs, does this even further intensify Seattle making a more aggressive play for a veteran LT?

    • vrtkolman

I think so, they have to be happy with how it’s playing out.

    • Kenny Sloth

Makes our early loss to GB even less significant as they’re unlikely to hit 10 wins.

Unless of course they sign Kaepernick

    • Ehurd1021

The NFC is WIDE OPEN now with Rodgers being done for the year.

Seattle is a decent/good offensive line away from being the best team in the NFC. We’re getting back Shead and Jordan in the next two weeks after the bye – which is only going to add great depth/rotation. According to Pete, there’s even a possibility Malik comes back this year. Also a chance we get Carson back at the end of the season.

If you’re Seattle and you know you’re a stable offensive line away from solidifying yourself as one of the best teams in the NFL how don’t you make that move? According to Twitter both the Browns and Texans are open to discussing a trade for Brown and Thomas. With the Texans being very serious about trading Brown. Make the move…

      • C-Dog

Or how about this; sign Brandon Albert, and trade for Carlos Hyde.

        • Volume12

          Should’ve kept Alex Collins.

          • C-Dog

            Funny how that worked out.

          • Ishmael

How are you going to know? He looked rubbish in Seattle. Slow and choppy.

        • Ehurd1021

… I’m good with this. I hope Brandon Albert looks decent but I have a hard time seeing how he does and we allow him to walk out the building considering how BAD we need offensive line help.

How about a trade for Joe Staley?

          • C-Dog

            Sure.

          • Volume12

Isn’t he still in Seattle? Like 3-4 of our defenders are following him on twitter. Which could mean absolutely nothing.

IIRC, you can’t announce moves or signings during a bye week.

            • Kenny Sloth

Supposedly has a workout with NYG

              • Volume12

Damn. I’d rather keep that 1st and sign Albert. Then again with UW OT Trey Adams getting hurt, the other OT’s are gonna get shot up the board.

            • C-Dog

Some twitter speculation that the La Canfora story was a leak to drive the Brandon Albert price down. I think he went to NY but came back to Seattle. I think that there is $ involved with waiting to sign after the buy. He could be a Hawk by tomorrow.

  38. vrtkolman

The Rams offense is certainly for real, which means so is the Hawks defense.

    • Ehurd1021

Seeing the Jags put up 14 points in the 1st quarter was a little depressing lol.

      • Ishmael

Yeah, but they also gave up, what, 17?

        • Ehurd1021

I’m not worried about the defense. I’m worried about having the ball for an entire 4th quarter on multiple possessions and only producing a field goal and almost losing a game we dominated for 3 quarters because of it… like last week.

          • Ishmael

It’s pretty tough to have everything. Need to pick your poison at a certain point. The offense isn’t good at the moment, but it’ll pick up through the season like it always does.

            • Ehurd1021

There’s a difference between having a slow start and not having the pieces. Right now Seattle is dealing with the latter.

              • Ehurd1021

And asking for Seattle to score touchdowns in a game they dominated for 3 quarters both in field position and turnovers isn’t asking for “everything.”

  39. Volume12

This Steelers/Chiefs game is my kind of football. 9-3? More of this please.

    • cha

So you can stage an elaborate celebration with 5 players but can’t use the goal post as a punching bag post-TD? Ridiculous.

That was a great moment years ago when Lofa did that after pick-6-ing the Eagles on MNF.

  40. Derron James

If the chiefs can’t stop Bell, it’s gonna be a long day for them.

  41. Volume12

I’m in one of those zones/mood.

Is there a more ‘Seahawky’ LB in this draft than VA-Tech’s Andrew Motuapuaka?

    • Volume12

      Great story:

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p3GkLLXqQQs

Stat sheet stuffer, high energy, high football IQ, says he loves playing in the rain, and also has the famous VA-Tech lunch pail.

      • Kenny Sloth

Gotta get you podcasting my man!

      • Volume12

This is S. Alabama DB Jeremy Reaves- 5’11, 205 lbs. Flashed big time in the OK St. game this year.

Moved to safety this year after being a CB for 3 years. He’s a perfect fit for a zone scheme corner at the next level. Tenacious tackler, versatile/hybrid DB.

        https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zDq_Bysx9-s

I’m sharing these guys because if Seattle pivots away from the 2018 draft like it looks like they might, these are the type of prospects, not necessarily these exact names, they’ll be selecting.

    • Volume12

Look at him flow to the football!

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5MLyQ964m-0

  42. Volume12

    WTF was that KC!?

    • Derron James

      I don’t get it.

      • Volume12

        The play call?

        • Derron James

I thought they should’ve went for the field goal.

          • Volume12

            Me too.

      • Volume12

They need a possession receiver so bad.

        • Volume12

This Harris f***er has cost them 2 huge possessions.

  43. Totem_Hawk

Hope they pull off a trade cuz they won’t pay enough for any FA’s to sign here…a trade is their only hope to upgrade…

    • Totem_Hawk

      Any good FA’s
