McShay on Jimmy Smith: “He’s the second best corner”

Regular visitors to the blog will know how highly I rate Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith. He’s been a weekly feature among the top-ten picks in my mock drafts.

It seems like maybe he’s finally going to get the recognition he deserves on a national level.

ESPN’s Todd McShay just tweeted this about Smith:

“Finally got to study 2010 coach-copy tape on colorado CB Jimmy Smith. Silky smooth for 6-2. Might be second best CB behind lsu’s Peterson”

    Solid call on Smith. Its a shame he has little to no chance at falling to us now that the word is out.

    However Locker is having another poor day at the Senior Bowl. Another INT this morning. He could very well see himself fall into our laps at 25 the way things are going. Question is will the Hawks pass as well?
