Here’s this weeks podcast, looking at week one of the college football season. We also look ahead to the Seahawks’ game against Miami and offer some NFL predictions. Earlier this week I published an article on Field Gulls looking at players that impressed in college over the weekend and who could be a first round prospect. Check it out here.

Could not agree more when it comes to the overrated guys.
Tennessee DE Derek Barnett is pretty good rushing from the interior, but that’s about it. Don’t think I’ve ever seen him use his hands to get off a block when lined up at DE.
LSU C Ethan Pocic really struggles with his leverage.
Florida St OL Roderick Johnson has no play strength and his feet are awful!
L’ville EDGE DeVonte Fields just doesn’t have the motor. So damn good when he turns it on, but that’s hardly ever.
Such a bad OT class so far, and that’s one of our biggest needs.
However, I wanna check out Utah OT JJ Dielman. Cousin of former pro-bowler Kris Dielman. JJ ducks his head on contact, but flashes some movement skills, athleticism, and goes hard. Hoping he’s improved.
App St OT Colby Gossett is interesting too. Probably more of a late day 2-early day 3 guy. Haven’t watched much, but he impressed me Thursday night against Tennessee.
Glad we saw the same thing in Pitt OL Dorian Johnson. I’m wondering why he isn’t a tackle and if he might project there better at the next level? Long arms, athletic, foot speed, lean. What do you think?
Love the extra long episode.
Also digging the lack of an intro the last two weeks haha
